Academic Programs

Admission to the PGP course of IIM Udaipur is very competitive and is through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted in November each year. The PGP course consists of six terms covered over two years. The first year consists of three terms covering foundation courses of different business functions. Second year consists of elective courses and have three terms. IIM Udaipur offers a unique elective in the second year "International business and practices" where students get a chance to work on a live project outside India. The admissions for the first batch of students for 72 seats have been completed through its mentor institute IIM Indore. The classes for the first batch commenced from 27 July 2011.

Janat Shah from IIM Bangalore has been appointed as Director IIM Udaipur. C. K. Birla, the Chairman of Hindustan Motors Ltd. India, has been appointed Chairman of the board of governors for the institute. Eminent personalities like Raghunath Salgame, President, CISCO Systems India Pvt. Ltd, Rajendra S. Pawar, Chairman NIIT Limited, Smt. Jyotsna Suri, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharat Hotels Ltd, Burzin Wadia, Executive Vice President, Godrej Appliances Ltd. constitute the board of governors of the institute.
