. The award will cover all areas of research in science including engineering, medicine and agriculture. The price carries Rs 25 lakhs cash prize, a citation and a gold medal. The India Science Award, instituted by the union government under the science and technology department, is announced and presented every year at the Indian Science Congress (ISC).
