 (lead guitar), Sam White (bass guitar), and Aaron Revivo (drums). Shortly before the release of the bands 2009 release, 'This is IT', Zak St. John replaced Aaron Revivo on drums although the album cover still features Aaron presumptively since Aaron's departure was near to the release date.

In Theory's music is centered around energetic punk drum beats, thick distorted guitars and pop-flavored melodies. During their first incarnation, the group issued a debut self-titled CD in 2005 titled 'We're Better Live'. The CD featured twelve live studio songs. In 2009 band recorded their debut studio album This is It, which was produced by platinum producer Barry Fasman (Air Supply

As of the present the band has never officially acknowledged that they officially broke up or went on hiatus. The bands Myspace page is still up with music and links to purchase the bands album.

On December 22, 2008, In Theory lead singer Theo Gersht and lead guitarist Avromie Summers

 performed on the Universal City Walk under the name Facing East. The duo was accompanied by bassist Danny Balistocky and drummer Joe Harrera, both members of pop-punk band Goodbye Valentine. Facing East performed song that were not part of the In Theory repertoire but has not released an album to date.
