Before proceeding with an acting career Villi worked as a radio journalist and writer.

Alan Wake

Villi made his video game debut as being the model for the titular character of Alan Wake. The game was originally announced at E3 2005 and was released in May 2010. In addition, Villi also performed the motion capture of the character and appeared as Wake in the Bright Falls live-action Alan Wake prequel. He also played Alan Wake in the live-action commercial and the Poets of the Fall music video for the soundtrack.
