The Hyderabad Civil Service, was a coveted service in the State of Hyderabad. It was popularly known by its acronym HCS. It was considered to be an elite service, and the best of the government officers were inducted into it through a competitive examination. The HCS was abolished upon the demise of Hyderabad State

Officers belonging to the Hyderabad Civil Service were absorbed into the government civil services in India after 1948.
