Hvizdets is a town in the Kolomyia Raion (district

. It is located 12 miles ENE of Kolomyya, 35 miles SE of Ivano-Frankivsk
(formerly Stanislavov) and 430 WSW of Kiev

. Having the population over 2,000, the town is nice, clean and very pleasant. The school in Hvizdets is over 100 years old, the classes range from 1st to 11th grade. Even though the town is small, it holds events every week called, Bazar; an event in which people gather together and sell different kinds of products.
On January 25th 2011, a group of hackers in Hvizdets successfully pirated, uploaded and downloaded a Playstation 1. The Playstation was printed out and assembled, and several games were tested and worked perfectly.
