Vision and Values

The original vision for the School written into the will of Humphrey Perkins was to teach the children of Barrow (after they can read the Bible) "in all sorts of learning, and free from any expense to their parents.”. Today the vision is quoted as “Humphrey Perkins High School will provide a world-class educational experience in all sorts of learning, equipping every pupil for success, founded upon uncompromising principles about young people, families and colleagues.”

The Values of the School are:

Child Focus - "We put children and their families at the centre of all that we do"

World-Class Learners - "We do what is necessary to develop world-class learners"

Honesty, Integrity and Professionalism - "We act with honesty, integrity and professionalism at all times"

Serving Others- "We work together to realise our full potential"

No ceiling- "We believe there is ‘no ceiling to achievement’ for individuals"
