border. The pipeline is 73 miles (117.5 km) long and has a diameter of 36 inches (914.4 mm) with capacity of 3.7 billion cubic meter of natural gas per year. It is designed to operate at a maximum operating pressure of 800 pound per square inches (5,515,805.8 Pa). It consists of a 27 miles (43.5 km) segment of new pipeline built in 2001–2002, and 46 miles (74 km) long lease of existing pipeline from NGPL.

The environmental impact assessment of the pipeline was completed in May 2001. The pipeline became operational on 11 May 2002.
