The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC; Chinese: 香港貿易發展局) is the international marketing
arm for Hong Kong
-based manufacturers, traders and service providers. Established in 1966, it has more than 40 offices around the world, including 11 in the Chinese mainland, promoting Hong Kong as a platform for doing business with China

Jack So
is the eighth HKTDC Chairman since the Council's establishment. He was appointed by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 1 October 2007. The Executive Director of the HKTDC, Fred Lam, is responsible to the Council for the HKTDC's worldwide operations.
Through its business matching services, the HKTDC helps Hong Kong companies find the right partners. Its online global databank includes about 700,000 business contacts. The HKTDC's customised business-matching service, helps companies worldwide identify, screen and meet potential business partners.

The Council
