Holy Trinity shares its Sixth Form with Saint Catherine's. The school is also actively involved with Campus Calderdale, a collaborative project with the other secondary schools in the area aimed at broadening opportunities for students.

The school became a specialist Business and Enterprise College

in 2005. In 2007, it also gained the Quality Standard for Careers Education and Guidance and the Healthy School's Award.

School closure / Trinity Academy

In July 2010 Holy Trinity Senior School will be closing, and the school site will become part of the Trinity Academy. Students at Holy Trinity will be automatically entitled to a place at the new Academy (should they wish to take this up). The new Trinity Academy will cater for 1500 male and female students, aged 11 – 19 (including 300 in the sixth form). The academy admit children of all, or no, faiths, however will be reserving a proportion of places for children linked to local churches.
