History

Holy Cross College was created in 2003 with the amalgamation of Strabane's three Catholic post-primary schools, the Convent Grammar School, St Colman's High School and Our Lady of Mercy High School. Mrs Maria Doherty took the job of principal after Christmas 2008 when the College's first principal, Mr Sean Bradley retired.

    Facilities

    Holy Cross College has the best known facilities in Northern Ireland. In its grounds it has 1 all weather pitch, 2 grass pitches, 5 tennis courts, 2 gymnasiums and 1 sports hall. The actual school itself has over 100 classrooms each able to hold 30 or more pupils. this has put Holy Cross at the top of its intake from strabane. Every year it takes in more than 250 pupils. Its largest ever intake of pupils was in the year 2010 when the school was overrun with 297 pupils. The car park outside of the school can hold around 100 cars (including the teachers car parks].
