Hip Entertainment Group
Encyclopedia
Hip Entertainment Group is a Los Angeles and Baja Mexico-based diversified entertainment company specializing in the development and production of English and Spanish-language content with broad market appeal.

History

HIP was formed to capitalize on the growing demand for innovative new formats and content with a Latin flavor or point-of-view. A demand that we see is being driven by a new generation of Hispanics - poised to be our country’s next major ‘cultural drivers’. This is an exploding, bi-lingual, bi-cultural generation that is rapidly emerging as a force that is affecting music, TV, movies, video games, the web, etc.

HIP’s broad range of creative services include: content creation, program development and production, motion design, post-production finishing services, and Hispanic business development.

The driver for all of these businesses is HIP TV, a successful production company consisting of a multi-award winning team of producers and directors who have been creating and producing television programming for almost twenty years.

This wealth of experience and production activity has allowed HIP to accumulate and control a substantial television library with over 800 episodes of original prime time programming in English, Spanish and Portuguese and more than 1,000 hours of raw, re-usable footage. In addition, HIP TV owns a state-of-the-art television studio and production facility in Baja, California, Mexico - one mile south from the neighboring former FOX Studios in Rosarito.

Seen in over 200 million households in the USA, Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the Caribbean, HIP’s programming combines a proven track record with fresh and original concepts, captivating visuals, and high production values. These are all designed to appeal to a mainstream audience, while simultaneously striking a more personal, emotional chord with Hispanic viewers.
