. It has 127 pupils presently and its current (2008) Headteacher is Miss Louise Robbins.
The school is 'outstanding' in its care and guidance of pupils and achieves good results. The school follows a creative curriculum which includes exciting inspirational topics to develop children's high order thinking.

History

The school was founded by the Earl Egerton in the 1800's and was then situated in the village hall. It was moved to its current premises in 1972.

Extracurricular activities

A sports day is held every-year with an overall cup for the winning hall. The Jenna Bond Award is for the person who has shown the highest level of kindess and Consideration The winners so far have been

There is also the Adam Croft cup for being a good egg and the Sefton cup is for the year six boy and girl who wins race round the school field on sports day.

High Legh Fun is the school's parent-run after school club, which runs Monday through Thursday.
