However, Taylor's marriage to Ridge eventually ended, when she decided to test Ridge's love for her and she revealed to him her past adulterous affair with James Warwick and that Hector had been in her bedroom and they shared a kiss which Brooke Logan had seen. Ridge decided to forgive her for the adultery and she and Hector being in a compromising situation but decideed he could not tolerate her hypocrisy of criticizing Brooke for similar scenarios. . The fire also left Hector homeless, so he moved in with Taylor. He soon realized that Taylor and he would never be more than friends and he decided to move out. Thorne offered Hector his now vacant beach house and Hector happily accepted the offer. Hector has not been seen since. It has however been stated that he is on holiday with his children. Thorne has also moved back into the beach house after he and Taylor broke off their engagement.
