History

Originally formed in 1989, in 2004 HAZCO became a subsidiary of the CCS Corporation Group of Companies after being acquired for reportedly $82 Million . David P. Werklund and a group of six private equity funds were successfully able to purchase all outstanding shares of the CCS Trust in 2007 in order to take the entire company private. The 2007 buyout was for a sum totaling approximately $3.5 Billion (Canadian). The CCS Group of Companies includes other firms, such as: Concord, Lionhead and Prodrill.

HAZCO's Corporate office is based in Calgary, Alberta with other offices and facilities in B.C., Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Nunavut and Nova Scotia. HAZCO is also located in Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon and Peru. HAZCO's Clients include Native Groups, Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government, "Big Oil" Firms, other Large Industry, Consulting & Engineering Firms and other Private Business. Hazco partner companies include HMI Industries, Normcan, BECK Drilling, and Peninsula Waste Water.
