Math

Harvest Park's competitive math students have won multiple awards. At mathleague's first middle school competition of the
year at Stanford in October, a team of four Harvest Park students placed first, defeating several other teams for the first time. A team of six Harvest Park Middle School students placed second in the MathNotations international high school geometry contest. Many Harvest Park students ranked highly in the 2009 Fall-Startup Event hosted by National Assessment & Testing. In 2010, 1 student got 2nd place at MathCounts states and proceeded to get 5th at MathCounts Nationals. In the year 2009-2010, Harvest Park had 5 AIME qualifiers, with 1 USAJMO qualifier. In the year 2010-2011, Harvest Park had 4 AIME qualifiers.

Ultimate Frisbee

Harvest Park is the only middle school in the area with an ultimate frisbee team. It is led by science instructor Kevin O'Dea, every Friday during the school year. It is open to all students.
