The school is currently operating at full capacity with approximately 260 students, 200 attending Grades 1-8 and 60 attending nursery and kindergarten. The majority of Hampstead Academy students reside within a radius of approximately 25 miles (40.2 km) of the school, including more than 35 New Hampshire and Massachusetts towns.

Athletics

Hampstead Academy offers a variety of in-school and after-school sports activities. The program includes Basketball, , Soccer, Baseball, Cross Country, Swimming, Skiing, Fencing, Volleyball and Golf. With a full court gymnasium, Basketball and Volleyball are expanding and competitive games with local schools are now incorporated into the program. In all cases, cooperative team spirit and physical fitness are primary goals.

Enrichment programs

Throughout the year, after-school enrichment activities and sports are offered for students' interest and enjoyment. Some of the activities take place on school grounds while others are at off-campus locations. Hampstead Academy's after-school sports program includes intramural sports, soccer, baseball, cross country, swimming, basketball, skiing and golf. Other enrichment programs offered include SSAT preparation, Improv, a Drama Club, Student Council, Yearbook Club, Chinese Club, Destination Imagination, Lego League, Orchestra, Select Chorus, and HAT day (Help After-School on Thursdays.) Instrument lessons are provided during regular music class and are paid separately to the instructor. Fees for these activities are charged separately.
