Hallberg-Rassy produces sailing yachts for blue water cruising. The company was founded by Harry Hallberg in 1943, merging the yards of Hallberg and Christoph Rassy (b. 1934) in 1972.

By now, 8,900 yachts have been finished by Hallberg-Rassy, and the yard produces yachts for sailors all over the world.

The company is owned by the Rassy family. The manager is Magnus Rassy.

2003, Hallberg-Rassy has been awarded with the "Sailboat of the Show award"" in Stockholm. In the same year, the American magazine American Cruising World Magazine has chosen the Hallberg-Rassy 43 as American Best Midsize Cruiser and Overall Cruising Boat of the Year. In January 2010 it has been awarded with the "European Yacht of the Year award" at boot Düsseldorf
