Captains

The 'Captain' system is unique to the school. Once students enter Year 10 they are given the choice to apply to be a Form or Sports Captain. Form Captains are a post of responsibility that are given to responsible students. Their role includes looking after and mentoring younger students, arranging activities and helping at extra curricular events. Sports Captains arrange sporting activities for the rest of the students in the school. Out of those who apply, two students are offered the post of School Captain; the equivalent of Head Boy and Girl. The post includes arranging the Form/Sports Captains, mentoring younger students and representing the school at various events and functions. Music Captains help manage the Music Department, organising recitals, helping to run clubs and inter-school activities, as well and helping to set up and run the Music Concerts. There are now also Junior Sports Captains.
