HSUPA Issues

Original specs pointed out the existence of HSUPA to enhance the upload speeds under the 3G network, but as early adopters inquired about slow upload connections, AT&T replied that the Inspire 4G is not HSUPA capable. However, the Inspire 4G is fully capable of HSUPA, but was disabled by AT&T for unknown reasons.

Updates

As of April 30, 2011 AT&T has issued an update to the HTC Inspire 4G enabling HSUPA. As of May 2011, AT&T issued an over the air update to the Inspire 4G allowing unknown sources to be installed, which removes the need to sideload applications (this is included in the Gingerbread update).
On July 25, 2011 AT&T announced it would issue Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, Sense 2.1, and various fixes to the phone. The update was released by HTC OTA on August 8, 2011. At least as of November 28, 2011 in the Oklahoma City market at the AT&T store, this phone was coming with 16 GB of internal flash memory.
