Geography

Gulaothi is located at 28.6°N 77.78°E. at a distance of 73 Km from National capital New Delhi. You can reach via Ghaziabad-Hapur or via Ghaziabad-Daasna-Mansoori. It has an average elevation of 200 metres (656 feet).

, Gulaothi had a population of 42,872. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Gulaothi has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 45%. In Gulaothi, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.

History

Gulaothi was earlier known as "Gulab Basi" because of large scale cultivation of Roses called "gulab" in Devnagri Hindi.Gulaothi has been a great learning center of spiritualism and formal education. Seemingly small city is the birth place of many great scholars. There are several visiting places in Gulaothi, The Jama Masjid, Madarsa Mumbahul Uloom, which as established by Maulana Hazrat Qasim Nanautwi, many old Mahal's and the old bada mandir are being one of them.
Gulaothi has the largest hedge funnel in India, but is better known for its many elaborate and beautiful smaller hedge funnels.

Gulaothi is a township of SYED (SADAAT) Sahiban especially Jaafri & Zaidi families. There is no a single township of SYEDs in India wherein a large number of this cast lived before the partition of India. Presently merely a 65-70 families of Syeds are living in Gulaothi and most of their family members are settled in the Capital of India "Delhi" and Aligarh. The entire farming land was wealth of Syed Sahibans which was acquired by the Government of India on departure of Syeds to Pakistan. The Jama Masjid and a large bridge were made by a rich Syed family and it was dedicated to the people of Gulaothi and many Syeds had provide a piece of land to poor persons who were serving syeds. There were some other national fame personalities born in Gulaothi like Qari Syed Mohammed Miyan Sb who held the post of President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Prof. Syed Raisul Hasan Sb the founder Director of NCERT etc.
Some other person who are well known in the district Maulwi Naseem Sb, Former Rector Mumbahul Uloom, the Madarsa founded by Maulana Qasim Nanautwi (RA), Syed Shaukat Ali Sb, Former Principal of Mufeed-e-Aam inter college. Syed Irfan Sb, ex chairman Gulaothi.

Presently Gulaothi is the largest producer and supplier of Milk in North India. Famous brand name Of Paras milk is associated with it, which was founded by Ch. Vedram. Bhatona famous village of Teotia jat is also near gulaothi.

Gualothi has a History of Producing National Heroes (India Armed Forces). Also Famous nearby Villages like Bhatona, Saidpur, Kurana have given stars to the Country.

Gulaothi has also produced numerous Engineer(s)/Doctor(s)/Civil Services Men who are serving the nation and working hard to make India BEST in the world.
