. The Green Party has gone from one local in 1999 to nearly 10 affiliated locals in 2007. Additionally, the Green Party has members, organizers, and locals in formation throughout the State.

In the 2008 elections, four Green Party candidates qualified for the August 19 primary - Duff Badgley for governor, Gary Morrell for U.S. Congress (6th C.D.), Christopher Winter for State Representative (9th Legislative District, Position 2), and Howard Pellett (40th Legislative District, Position 2).

Dormant through 2009

The Green Party of Washington State was put on caretaker status throughout 2009. A five person caretaker committee was elected to maintain the existence of the organization.

Reactivated in 2010

Participants at the January 30, 2010 convention of the Green Party of Washington State, in Seattle, approved the creation of a seven member advisory board. An election of a new Coordinating Council was planned for the Spring Convention on April 17, 2010 in Seattle.
