. Whilst Gevelsberg Hbf therefore is more central to Gevelsberg, it does not offer any connections other than the S8 trains running twice an hour, making it one of the least busy Hauptbahnhof stations in Germany.
The station is also served by 5 bus routes operated by Verkehrsgesellschaft Ennepe-Ruhr: SB38 (every 60 minutes), 551 (30), 552 (20/40), 565 (60) and 563 (30). It is served by bus route 542 operated by Hagener Straßenbahn at 15-30 minute intervals.
