George Hu was born and raised in New York City, New York and received his bachelors in Computer Science at St. John's University. He visited Taiwan after graduating where he was scouted and began his acting career. He speaks fluent Taiwanese and Mandarin, as well as English

Injury

On 14 January, whilst on his way to film set George was injured in a car accident. He received minor cuts and grazes on his legs and suffered a fractured left shin. For a month he used crutches and wheelchair and recovered with no further problems.
