History
It was previously known as Gateway Grammar School. It became a sixth form college in the 1970s.College future
The school was established as a technical grammar school in the late 1920s. In its early life it was known as the 'Junior Art and Technology College'. The school educated the managers of Leicester's, hosiery and shoe factories, as well as the supporting printing, design and light engineering industry of the City.Courses
The student body consists of approximately 1,200 students aged 16–18 and 400 adult students. The college is highly diverse with 75% of all learners from minority ethnic backgrounds..
