Gates Intermediate School
Lester J. Gates Intermediate School, known more commonly as Gates Intermediate School or "Gates" is the junior high school of the Scituate, Massachusetts
public school system, serving seventh and eighth grade students. It is located on First Parish Rd., within walking distance of Lawson Tower and Scituate High School

Once Scituate decided to move the 6th grade curriculum back into the elementary schools, the last 6th grade class to pass through the halls of Gates (the graduating class of 2009) made a mural on the C Wing wall of everyone's handprint to symbolize teamwork. Former vice-principal Lynn Bastoni decided to paint over this memoir.
Chorus class used to be held in the library, until a wall between two A wing classrooms was knocked down in the summer of 2003.
In the A wing there are 2 floors, in the B wing there are 3 floors, and in the C wing there is 1 floor.
