 arranged for him to be adopted by William Sr. and Geraldine Baroni a few days later. When Baroni responded that he had lived in Hamilton since he was a few days old and told the story of his adoption, Guear's move backfired and Baroni won the election.

Gary was a charter member and our first Orator whose involvement was vital to the establishment and success of our group. He was a New Jersey State Assemblyman who took the time and trouble to be a part of this organization when others waited to see if it was a success or not. Gary was an involved member who also contributed much money in sponsorship of our events. OSIA Mercer County therefore, as sponsored by the President and approved by the Executive Board, hereby inducts Gary L. Guear as the first member of the OSIA Mercer County Hall Of Fame.
