. Garden City is home of the ledgendary Garden City Raceway Park, host to the annual GCRP Smash 'Em Up Derby. Victims of the Bartholomew County Fair Demolition Derby bring their revitalized machines to the track for one last attempt at seeking victorious glory. Mayor elect Paul S. Clear, Jr. hosts this event, one of the most popular spectacles in the town. It is not uncommon for the intellectually deficient to be carried away from the track courtesy of the paramedics. The GCRP Smash 'Em Derby is not a challenge for the weak hearted, only the strongest walk away.

Garden City Raceway Park

Located off of State Road 11, between IN-46 and IN-58, passersby are forced to slow down due to the large dust cloud created by the racing cars during the summer. When not in racing season, you can still expect to see citizens practicing and playing around the track. The track was destroyed in a major flood that devastated southern Indiana

in June of 2007, but with the Mayor's love and devotion to the land, we are still able to enjoy total carnage. When in doubt, just look around for the hovering brown cloud of dust around the Mayor's mansion.
