 in the Women's Team and the Individual All Around. Gael is coached by Vladimir and Svetlana Lashin at Omega Gymnastics. Her father William Mackie twice qualified for the Canadian Olympic team in Men's Gymnastics, but injuries prevented him from competing both times. Mackie's younger sister Charlotte is also a promising gymnast.
