Together with her high school friend, Kimberley Wood, Demetriades runs a communications and marketing company named Satin Soldier in Cape Town. In 2009, Demetriades joined the race for Miss Bollywood SA title along with 48 other South African women. She represented the Kolkata Knight Riders
