Innovation

Sound Reduction

One of the most common complaints among range hood owners is the high level of noise produced by the appliance. To remedy this, Futuro Futuro has invented several proprietary technologies to reduce the noise level of the range hood during operation:
  • Perimeter Filter System - uses a central deflector panel to redirect airflow into collector slots around the panel, eliminating the direct sound path between the blower motor and the user. The inner side of the deflector panel is coated with metallized foam rubber, which absorbs noise frequencies created by the air turbulence. Overall, the PFS system results in a 20% sound reduction compared to similar range hood models equipped with traditional mesh filters.

  • NRS® Noise Reduction System - computerized modeling of airflow inside the range hood is used to adapt the shape of the range hood body and blower chamber in order to provide a direct airflow path and minimize turbulence.

  • Sound-Absorbing Blower Chamber - by mounting the blower motor inside a specially-designed chamber made from vibration-absorbent plastic, the vibration and noise from the blower motor is reduced significantly.
