On 11 April 2007, it was revealed that there had been a mix-up of 2 deceased bodies by mortuary staff at the Prince of Wales Hospital

  • In an interview on RTHK Radio 1's HK2000 phone-in programme on 12 April 2007, responding to a question by radio host Robert Chow, Fung allegedly admitted he could not accept the practice of positioning two corpses in a single mortuary refrigerator box.
  • When asked how he could accept the placing of two corpses in a single mortuary refrigerator box, Fung allegedly explained that there was enough spare room for a second body.
  • Fung allegedly evaded Chow's blame by insisting that the root of the problem lied elsewhere, namely the government-operated crematorium.
  • Fung denied when asked if there had been a lack of financial resources and support coming from the HA
