 Freyalise is considered to be a goddess by the elves of Llanowar (who are unaware of her heritage). It is said that Freyalise brought together the Order of the Steel Leaf, a select cadre of Llanowar elves.

 Freyalise was brought up in Storgard, together with Jason Carthalion. She was the last Ruby Mage before the destruction of Storgard. She had to fight her friend Jason when by order of king Miko she tried to prevent the leaving of the clans Emerald and Pearl. When Freyalise became a planeswalker she turned from destructive red to lifesaving green.

During the Ice Age

's Reflecting Mirror, and combining it with her powers in the Ice Cauldron, she cast the World Spell, a powerful, destructive spell, which ended the Ice Age, and repaired the Shard. By this she brought spring and new life.

During the Phyrexian Invasion, Urza recruited her to join his team of Planeswalkers to destroy Phyrexia. Once inside Phyrexia, she helps the team defeat the plane's creatures and plant the soul bombs. Even after Urza's betrayal and Kristina's, Tevesh Szat's, Taysir's, and Daria's death, she continued the mission, along with Bo Levar, Commodore Guff, and Lord Windgrace. She survives the Apocalypse

There is very little information on what happened to Freyalise after the end of the Dominarian Apocalypse, but it is evident that she was also affected by Karona's appearance. However, she does show up again in the Time Spiral

 on the state of the world. However, after events, she does demonstrate to him how to planeswalk around the rifts that had been created and lends him her champion, Radha of Keld. Later, disgusted, she confronts Teferi's group and watches as many of her rangers, including her captain, join Radha to fight the Gathi. She washes her hands of Radha and vanishes, promising death to whoever returns.

 she is summoned by Lord Windgrace who asks for a collaboration of sorts in order to save both Skyshroud and Urborg. She agrees, taking the ageless Jhoira as part of the bargain. Later, after returning to Skyshroud, she reveals that she is attempting to control the slivers in order to battle cold weather Phyrexians from an alternate reality where the Ice Age never ended. The Weaver King, using the artificer Venser as a shell, travels to Skyshroud and steals the slivers and Phyrexians from her and begins to use them to destroy Skyshroud. In a blaze of glory Freyalise finally listens to Teferi and destroys the planar rift above the ashes of her beloved forest, dying in the process. Her actions help heal the dimensional wound and inspire Windgrace to do the same to the rift above Urborg.
