, and who was consequently knighted for starting one of the first schools in the Niagara area. Sometime prior to 1782, he was granted various land grants, one being the original farm. This farm was left to his son Frederick Augustus Goring, who in turn left it to his son, John B., followed by his son Frederick, then to his son Charlton (Chic), then finally to Frederick.
