Critical reception

Shawn Kitchener of Entertainment Wise wrote that the album was "another relentless tirade of club-ready urban tunes that blend in to each-other far too often", referring to "Fight for You". Kitchener wrote that the song was "the kind of sweet-as-candy R&B fodder that would fit in seamlessly on the High School Musical soundtrack." Lewis Corner of Digital Spy noted "Fight for You" samples Toto's "Africa", writing that, "the end result is much like the continent's native lion; big, showy and extremely lazy – but its roar is loud enough to ensure it remains popular with the public."
