is fixed, which was later reported by numerous media across Europe. Asian and European betting companies were the first to report their suspicion of the match being fixed after several people deposited a total of 4 million euros that Široki would win shortly before the start of the match. It was later revealed that UEFA

The implications came only a year after UEFA revealed that NK Interblock, a club where Rakovič played at the time, was under similar investigation for their Europa league match one season earlier. In late April, 2011, Slovenian police investigated an illegal betting organization and have taken four persons into custody. In the days after it was reported that several present and former Slovenian football players are allegedly involved and one of which is said to be Ermin Rakovič.
