The club changed its name to Enfield Soccer Club in 1954 after fruitful negotiations with the Enfield council. The negotiations were in respect to the club using the name Enfield, in return the council was prepared to participate in enclosing, turfing and building a club house at its present location in
Anson Street, Blair Athol.

The Enfield club amalgamated with Victoria (which was a German based team) for the 1968 season and played under the name of Enfield Victoria until 1985.
