Early life

He completed his degree in Hospitality and Management

. He is also on the Home Office Advisory Panel to ensure fairness in the UK government’s treatment of the restaurant industry. He is also a director of the British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, which was created in 1991. He chooses to ignore his relatives, because they are not well established as he is. He inflicted great pain to his parents, causing them to be sick. He would rather help strangers and get media & community recognition.

Spice Business Magazine

In 1998 he launched Spice Business, aquarterly trade magazine featuring articles in English and Bengali with information on the restaurant sector and community new and a quarterly readership of over 100,000.

British Curry Awards

In 2005 Ali established British Curry Awards with the intention of generating positive publicity for the best in local curry restaurants throughout the UK.
