History

Located at Tyson Avenue and the Roosevelt Boulevard, the Empire Rock Club was at the time of its opening, the only rock music venue in Northeast Philadelphia. In January 1985, the club began a metal music night every Sunday that was all ages. The night immediately became a success and helped start the careers of the bands Cinderella

The building that once housed the Empire Rock Club is now home to a beer distributor and a mattress & furniture store which has since replaced the Bingo parlor.
