This was Cantinflas first color film in Mexico, and in it he played shoeshiner (bolero in Spanish), who works to support his girlfriend Raquel played by Saavedra. Cantinflas also dances to Ravel

Though a relative box-office disappointment for a Cantinflas film, it still ranked among the most profitable Mexican films of the year.
