Architect Ejaz Ahed, born in Hyderabad Dhakkan, India in 1949 but raised in Pakistan since 1950. He attended the Karachi Grammar School
and after finishing his “A” Levels he went on to receive his architectural training from the renowned Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago whose department was founded by Mies van Der Rohe. He started his professional career on innovative and experimental public school designs and then went on to work on major buildings design experiences that would shape his philosophy and thinking in his works. Returning to Pakistan in 1974 he became the CEO of the Karachi
His wife [Tayeba] is professionally in education and in involved in major fund raising charities in Karachi and his daughter [Farah Ahed] is a talented photographer and they reside in Karachi.
