Recent district expansion has added a performing arts center to each of ECISD's high schools (all completed November 2010), including at Edinburg North.

Athletics

Edinburg North's first Athletic Cordinator was Robert Alaniz. As the coach for the Cougar football Team he led them to a 10-0 season and took them to the playoffs 6 different times. Mario Lopez took over as Athletic Coordinator and Head Coach after Robert Alaniz became Athletic Director in 2001. Coach Lopez led the Cougar football team to two District Championships, a Bi-District Championship, and a trip to the Area Championship in 2002 where they lost to Laredo. The Cougars current Head Coach is Roy Garza, who has also had success taking the Cougars to the playoffs. Notable athletes with District and State Honors from Edinburg North include; Victor Prado, John De La Vina, Mark Hudgens, Isreal Menchaca, Steven Cruz, Robert Perez, Phillip Rodriguez, Louie Alamia, Bryan Welch and Will Houston.
