History of the Academy

 Christian Academy in 1970. The school had its first graduating class in 1977, with nine students. The school was later renamed Meadow Creek Christian Academy and then Greater Atlanta Christian School – Meadow Creek Campus

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy

In 1994, the academy became apart of Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church. In 2000, the school and church moved to a new campus. In 2006, the school and church went through a massive multi-million dollar building project – adding a new gym, church offices, and cafeteria. As apart of the new cafeteria, the school began using the SAGE lunch program.

ELCA Virtual Academy

Eagle's Landing Christian Academy launched an online academy to allow students to attend the school, participate in sports, and learn from home. This new way of teaching allows home schooled students to participate in Eagle's Landing Christian Academy athletics. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy offered virtual online classes for Summer credit recovery.

 The school was forced to close for fourteen days according to the Federal guidelines. All school events – athletic, educational, and fine arts – were canceled until further notice. The CDC changed their policy on school closures on May 5, and ELCA began to prepare to re-open on May 7. On May 6, the school had its second case of Swine Flu.
In response to the infestation, the School entered a cleaning effort. School administrator Chuck Gilliam stated:
"We are cleaning light switches, door handles, and other places student come in contact with…"

On May 7, the school reopened. The students returned to class as normal, but new safety regulations to prevent students from receive the swine flu

 division. The elementary and middle school bible quiz teams have seen great success in there year, winning several state and division titles. The ELCA High School Bible Quiz team recently moved from RAMS (or Rookie and Middle School) League to VETS League. The main competition for the ELCA High School Bible Quiz Team is Athens Christian Academy.
