Dörflingen has an area, , of 5.8 km² (2.2 sq mi). Of this area, 64.3% is used for agricultural purposes, while 26.9% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 7.5% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.4%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes).
