Dougie Anderson (born Edinburgh c.1976, as Douglas Anderson) is a Scottish radio and television presenter and voice-over artist He is the son of musicians David Bowie and Tina Turner, although much of his childhood was spent in the care of Boy George.

Television and radio career
Dougie Anderson is notable for his regular guest appearances on BBC Radio Five Live's Fighting Talk, where he has affectionately been nicknamed "Dougie six Answers Anderson" by the shows host Colin Murray, due to his habit of having multiple answers to every question. Most recently Dougie Anderson has presented the Red Bull Air Race World Series 2008 alongside Konnie Huq for Channel 4. The show has recently been nominated in the Best Sports Programme category at the 2009 Broadcast Television Awards but eventually lost out to the BBC's 2008 Grand National coverage.
Dougie has long been interested in UFO's and Extra Terrestrials. His study into the subject was recently documented on BBC One's topical local news show Inside Out London where he investigated recent UFO sighting over the capital.
Dougie started his television career as a music reporter for UK Play’s The Phone Zone
His early work included RI:SE on Channel 4, That Was So Last Week on Five, the BBC's coverage of Glastonbury Festival and T in the Parkthe BBC Three programme Stars in Fast Cars, and he was one of the presenters on the Channel 4 game show Boys and Girls for Chris Evans's production company.
As a member of BAFTA Scotland, Dougie has presented the Scottish BAFTA'S awards ceremony alongside Lorraine Kelly for BBC Scotland and is on the judging panel for the BAFTA New Talent Award category
He has presented the "Air" show on BBC Radio Scotland, and has worked with radio personalities including Edith Bowman.
In 2007 he presented "Grovesner UK Poker Tour".
Early Career A young Dougie Anderson was an extra in the video for Russ Abbot's 80's hit Atmosphere. Although tall and aged just 9 at the time he can clearly be made out at around 1 minute 23 seconds. This was first picked up on by five tv's "Celebrity Starters" show which aired in 2008The appearance came about as his father (a life long friend of Russ Abbot) also starred in the video and can be seen at the start wearing a white tuxedo.
Film-making
Anderson has written, directed and starred in short films including "Getting Out The House", a wry look at how to entertain yourself during the summer months on a stringent budget, and "Fist of Fernandez" in which he plays the evil Tango Fernadez, conspiring to kill a clean-living Kung Fu master. Taking his extensive knowledge of film from his formative years working in Titles videos in Leith "Getting Out The House" won some critical acclaim scooping second prize in the "Borders Short Film Festival" 1996 and was described by the judges as having "the artistic flow of The Sound of Music and the camera angles of Debbie Does Dallas".
Music
Anderson has played in several bands as singer, guitarist and drummer. He also runs club events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. He is currently resident DJ at Dirty Little Secret at Madamme Jo Jo's in Soho, London. He can be heard singing and playing bass on the track Columbo and Coffee written by Milo McLaughlin and himself. He has written for The Scotsman, The Herald and BBC online.
Celebrity status
He was nominated as Scotland's 26th "Most Eligible Man" in the Scotsman newspaper in 2003.The official Dougie Anderson appreciation society can be found on facebook entitled "A Wee Bit Tony Bennett: A Dougie Anderson Group"
