. He enlisted in the US Army in 2002 and served a full year in Iraq

. He saw intense activity and was rewarded with numerous decorations. During his military service, Anderson was part of the Rapid Deployment Forces and from 2004 until 2005 his unit was on the front line.

Martial arts

Anderson left the army in 2005 and continued training in martial arts. He has attained a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is passionately studying Muay Thai

Other interests

When he's not traveling around the world for the Fight Quest TV show, Anderson works as a volunteer for different civic organizations and spends his time with his nieces. He also enjoys drawing, painting and tattooing.
