 (PASSHE). In addition to administrative offices, the Dixon University Center also has classroom space, conference facilities and a meeting room for PASSHE's Board of Governors. The PASSHE's total student enrollment as of Fall 2010 was nearly 120,000, making it one of the largest university systems in the United States.

, whose leaders built the six historic structures on the grounds today. The Academy maintained the location until 1941, when the War Department took over the facility. Since 1956, the Center has functioned in various configurations as an educational consortium. In 1987, the Center's Board of Directors, a community corporation, invited the State System of Higher Education—the 14 publicly owned universities

 mission. PASSHE began operating the six-and-one-half-acre site under a lease/purchase agreement in 1988, and purchased the site in 1991. In 1993, the PASSHE Board of Governors acknowledged the leadership and generosity of its founding chairman, Fitz Eugene Dixon, Jr.

Under PASSHE's stewardship, the six original structures were renovated to make the facility adequate for classroom instruction and business purposes.

Academics

Dixon University Center is foremost an academic and governance center, providing adult learners access to learning. Through a consortium of Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) universities and private colleges and universities, students can earn a degree, expand career skills or continue learning.

The educational partners of Dixon University Center offer undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs, professional development classes, and customized training. Courses are presented in a variety of formats for adult learners - online, on-site or blended delivery formats. Evening and Saturday courses provide added options.

Dixon University Center also offers facilities for workshops, seminars and meetings.
