; she was hired at UNC in the same year, 1997, that Manocha was tenured there.

Dinesh Manocha is currently a Phi Delta Theta/Mason Distinguished Professor ofcomputer science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He
received his B.Tech. degree in computer science and engineering from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1987; M.S. and Ph.D. in computer
