She stayed that way for a year and finally gave up on her bald look. However, she recently shaved her head smooth bald again and appeared flaunting her clean shaven head and ultra-tanned look during the store launch of brand 'Louis Vuitton' at Taj Land's End in Bandra, Mumbai on January 18, 2010 and later in a wine appreciation dinner hosted by model Shamita Singha on February.

Career
After being crowned the winner of the Miss Bombay beauty contest in 1995, Soares pursued a modeling career. She went on to become one of the leading models of the ramp, and starred in numerous commercials. She also became a host in one of the fashion programs conducted by the channel V and acted in a Bollywood film named Boom in 2003. She is also a shoe designer who conducted an exhibition recently.
