. Dhirkot is a popular tourist resort due to its easy access, bracing altitude (1676 meters) and mountainous landscape. Dhirkot is linked with all parts of Azad Kashmir by black top roads and direct transport services.

Education

Dhirkot contains four colleges (two of which are private), six high schools (four of which are private), and one middle school. It often shows an excellent ranking in Azad Kashmir and has a high literacy rate. Only girls' colleges have science faculties; boys are not supposed to have this facility and have to move to other cities in Pakistan.
